Monday Musing, August 7

Uncategorized | August 7, 2017 | By

Hey there Monday!  Weren’t you just here? Wow, you popped back in rather quickly?

This Monday finds us heading up the coast to visit family in Edenton, NC…and to enable my son to build a computer for his uncle. I don’t know who will be happier, my son or his uncle!

We are enjoying some unusually (as in, a beautiful 61º this morning) cool weather for the end of July, which has my mind thinking fall. My garden has just about given up, but I’ve learned that the early demise is to be expected in this hot and humid coastal North Carolina weather, so I am at peace with it. Next year I am going to plan ahead and try to get a second crop of veggies in the ground for the second half of the summer.

For those of you thinking Christmas already, I am almost done with a pattern for an adorable and EASY knit stocking pattern. I hope to publish it soon so that you knitters can get an early start on your Christmas gifts or decorations.

So, let’s see what goodness the internet had to offer this week.

My friend Carol has a peach cobbler recipe that has my name all over it.

These free printables from Emily Jones will pretty-fy the dog days of August.

I’m planning out my August chores in my garden.

Some great kitchen storage ideas here.

If this were in my backyard, I fear I would never come in the house.

Some great money saving tips here.

Moist grilled chicken breast? I didn’t think it was possible! I’m going to give these tips a try.

And there we have it my friends…a few interesting tidbits from the world wide web.

I hope your week is off to a good start.

Here’s a quote to keep in mind

Many hugs,
