Hi Dorene, It is very exciting and yes…unnerving. Without a doubt, she has a good head on her shoulders and we take comfort in that. We will be back to NYC 3 more times this summer, so we will have plenty of time to do some sightseeing. Any suggestions?

However, it is certainly a little unnerving for mom I am sure. As hard as it is for a parent to leave her alone in such a big city, just remember that reaching these goals and having these amazing opportunities is not only a result of all the hard work your daughter has done, but also a testament to the support and guidance her parents provided along the way so that she could achieve her dreams. Take a moment to pat yourself on the back for a job well done as a mom, and then give your daughter a great big hug (as I am sure you will miss those until she is back home). I hope you got to do some NY sightseeing as a family as well on this holiday weekend, once the task of moving your daughter into her new summer residence was done.
