  5. Monday Musings, December 11,...

Thanks for making my day by SHARING!!

Happy Monday My Friends.

And not just any Monday, but the Monday that is exactly 2 weeks from Christmas Monday.

I do hope you are enjoying the season and all it offers, but also finding a little time to just sit and be.

How about some holiday-inspired musings from the great world wide web?

? If you are doing some last minute baking, my friend Lisa has some great tips for preventing your rolled dough from sticking to your cookie cutters. Plus, she’s a gifted photographer, so there’s that…

?Gingerbread Men and Ladies are great. A Gingerbread House is pretty cool too. But…what about a Gingerbread Farm?

?Now this is a fun and whimsical project…a rose petal cake! I’m bookmarking it for next year.

?Ann from Corner of Plaid and Paisley has the greatest idea! She cuts out or prints off multiple copies of store coupons over the holidays and shares them with those in front or behind her in the check out lines.  Little acts of kindness reinforce the joy of the season and helps round out the rough edges of the world.

?I am just going to leave this here…Bourbon Vanilla Bean Shortbread Cookies.

?Once you’ve baked your cookies…you surely could use some tips to store them.

Some of these are affiliate links and I will earn a small commission off of the sale of these products, but the price you are charged is not affected. You can see my full disclosure policy here.

?Need a few last minute gifts?

I gathered with some of my girlfriends for  a ‘My Favorite Things’ party last week…it was such a fun evening. I will share all the details with you at a later time, but did want to share a few gift ideas. In general, the idea was to bring a few of your ‘favorite things’ to gift and then you’ll be heading home with a few of your friends’ favorite things.  There were so many great ‘favorite things’ that were highly sought after; here are just a few of them:

I was lucky enough to score a bottle of The Laundress Signature Detergent…and I have never been more excited to do laundry before. It is a splurge, so it makes a great gift for that friend or family member who has everything or is difficult to shop for. The scent is heavenly! I will NOT be washing the skivvies and socks of my men with this detergent, but will be washing our sheets and sleepwear. (Free shipping through the end of the year!)

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, but equally in demand, were the Face Coasters. Sadly, I did not score a set of these gems, so I ordered several sets of them on my own! These will make some great gifts and will surely result in some full-on bell laughs.

One of my girlfriends (who shall remain nameless) was kind enough to model a face coaster. And yes, they are real legitimate coasters…heavy paper and all that stuff.

So my friends, I will be back on Wednesday with a round-up of breakfast ideas for Christmas morning. Then, I will be taking a bit of a vacation to hang out with family and soak up the season.

So, I’ll see you Wednesday. Until then, I hope your Monday and Tuesday are delightful.

Those coasters! ? They’re a riot, Lynn! I love that coupon idea too. You and I are thinking on the same wavelength – I just shared our Christmas morning breakfast idea today too – looking forward to seeing yours on Wednesday! ?
