Another great site for patterns and yarn is http://www.Garnstudio.com.

Are you a member of Ravelry.com? It’s a free site for knitters and crocheters that has lots of patterns and insight into different yarns and patterns.

What types of patterns are you looking for?

Oh good! I picked it up at Costco today! I usually use the library, but there was a hold and I needed a book for tonight, so I splurged. Anxious to dive in to it.

Hi Laura,

Thanks so much for taking a minute to write in. We just hired a caregiver to come in for a few hours a week which is huge to give my mom a break. I’d love to have them longer, but it’s a process…for both of my parents. But, I do think we will be getting there sooner, rather than later. We are blessed that both my husband and I are able to help out, but even with us, it’s a lot on my mom.

But yes…my heart breaks for all the full-time caregivers out there.

So sorry your family is experiencing Alzheimer’s. Having been a caregiver for my husband, I know it’s really important that the caregiver takes breaks to renew her energy. Some communities have Hospice centers with trained volunteers who are willing to sit with the patient for a few hours each week so that caregivers may get those breaks.

Dear Lynn,
I have read ‘Crawdads’ and it so good I don’t know how to describe it! Not sure how I stumbled upon it but I actually listened to it through Audible while I crafted away in my sewing room. I was captivated by the story and the struggles of a young girl abandoned at age 7, that she even survived was a miracle. Anyway, no spoilers, just read it and you won’t be sorry. Penny
