  5. Monday Musings, February 4

Happiest of Happy Mondays my friends.

We've been busy around here doing the last minute to-dos that one does when one lists their home. So yes,  our home is listed, despite the fact that we still have the blue tarp on our roof that is still ubiquitous in post-Hurricane Wilmington. It went live Friday and we've had 3 showings…a collective crossing of fingers would be most appreciated.

I spent a quiet weekend at home, just me and my furry girls, while Terry crossed the state to watch a basketball game at each of our kids' school.  It was a good opportunity for him to have some one-on-one time with the kids, and for me to have one-on-one time with Flora and Peep!

Some of these links may be affiliate links and I may earn a small commission off of the sale of these products, but the price you are charged is not affected. You can see my full disclosure policy here.

  • You probably already know this, but in the off-chance you don't…Trader Joe's is the best place to get flowers! I always like fresh flowers in the home, but especially now that we are showing it.
  • Superbowl LIII…yawn! But can we all agree that Gladys Knight performed the National Anthem the way it is supposed to be performed!!? The way she sang it made me feel almost like she was telling a story.

Hope your Monday is fantastic! And your Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday…well, and Saturday and Sunday too…until we meet again next Monday.

Thanks again for spending a few minutes of your busy day with me today.

I also thought Gladys Knight did a fantastic job with the National Anthem. And I likedthe half time show, not as “showy” as some, but good. He was under a lot of pressure from a lot of people. Too bad, something for our enjoyment gets political.

      Hi Juanita…

I didn’t even watch the half time show…but man, he has been getting a lot of heat. Seems everyone is in such a hurry to criticize everyone else. Who has time for that nonsense!

Have a great day my friend.

      Hugs, Lynn
