  5. Monday Musings, March 4

Good Monday Morning my friends.

I am a happy mama bird  🕊…I've got my youngest fledgling back in the nest for a week. Can you hear my heart singing? 🎵🎶🎵

But, in painting his room last month I may have broken his computer…ugh…it's in the shop right now so keep your fingers crossed. He built that computer, poured his time, energy and money into that computer…to say I feel awful is an understatement.

Par for the course in the life of a maker…I have been working on a ‘square' pouf for my daughter and this weekend I put the whole thing together…and it's more like a large bean bag…not what I wanted. So today I will be removing all the little ‘beans' (which are nothing more than styrofoam peas that have a special magnetic power that makes them stick to EVERYTHING within a 50-mile radius) and rethinking the whole the thing. C'est la vie.

Mom and dad are coming over for dinner tonight and I am making this Brisket…I don't think I've ever cooked a brisket before. I was looking for something else on The Kitchn website and caught just a glimpse of the video and BAM…it had to get made. Sounds like it will be perfect for a cool winter evening. I'll certainly let you know how it is.

Did you know Amazon had a Wedding Registry? News to me, but I'm not surprised.

I spent a little too much time enjoying this video.

Do you kokedama?

You can get a hyacinth bulb in a bulb vase for $2.99 (or is it $1.99?) at Trader Joe's. I purchased this one 9 days ago when it was probably only 2 inches high. Instant Spring!

Enjoy the rest of your week my friends!

I love buying those pretty hyacinth vases already set to bloom. I hope my TJs gets them soon. The scent is heavenly! Thanks for sharing my kokedama post. They are so fun to make.
