Hi friends! Hope that your weekend was good; we were busy with college tours and football…and fighting a nasty cold.
The rains of yesterday ushered in a crisp, clear and beautiful fall morning today. After being cooped up inside for the past week with my cold, it was good to get outside and check on my fall garden.
My lettuce, kale, arugula and sugar snap peas are doing well, but for some reason my spinach just doesn't want to grow. I have planted spinach seeds twice already this fall and just have a few seedlings. Hmmm….any ideas?
The confluence of nasty, wet weather yesterday and the tail end of the cold had me thinking warm and hearty soup. I made a pot of this beef soup on Sunday and it was just what the doctor ordered.
