In reply to <a href="https://nourishandnestle.com/news-from-the-nest-march-27/#comment-19901">Norma Coplin</a>.

Good Morning Norma,

First off all, thank you so much for all your recommendations! I was not familiar with any of them but have added A Ghost in the Throat to my library request...should get this week! At my brother's recommendation, I am now reading City of Thieves by David Benioff. I think it is a fictionalized account of the stories told to him by his Jewish Russian grandfather, who lived through the siege of Leningrad. I'm enjoying it much more than I had anticipated. Some really beautifully developed characters thus far.

And I'm so glad you are knitting that blanket. I think you will love how the furry sirdar finishes it.

Thanks for being a reader of Nourish + Nestle. I couldn't and wouldn't want to do this without readers like you on this journey with me.

Have a fantastic weekend either knitting, reading or both!

Hugs, LYnn

Good Morning Lynn,
I want to thank you for your book recommendations! I very much enjoyed Hannah Kent's Burial Rites.
Here are some offerings of books to add to your must read list:
Foster by Claire Keegan (The Movie, The Quiet Girl, is based on this book.)
Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan
The Forester's Daughter also by Claire Keegan
A Ghost in the Throat Doireann Ni Ghriofa ( an astonishing book!)
Tinkers by Paul Harding.
Beautiful prose in all of these which I think, given your reading list, will make you savor each word.
And I want to thank you for the half linen stitch blanket pattern. Am just about to start the I cord edge with the sirdar yarn.
I enjoy your website!! Thanks again!

Penny, Thank you so much!!! You know how you look at something 100 times and don't see what is there? I absolutely need to change the 'we'.

Please don't ever hesitate with your observations. I am a big believer in crowdsourcing and welcome all constructive criticism and observations.

Again, thank you!

Hi Lynn, I have not decided if I am being too critical about the new look but you asked. It took me a while to get past the No caps headings but I think I like them now. Love the blue/green you use on your site. Here’s my last comment. ‘You (we)’ are not a website. It’s not accurate and it’s confusing to say a person or persons are a website. Better might be ‘This is a website….” Also, who is the we? Looks to me like it’s a one woman show. One I like very much. If you are happy the way it is, then that’s fine.

Hi Mary,

The cotton twine I used was 2mm. Make sure it is cotton.

Happy Crocheting!

Hi Lynn: I am in Canada. I would like to make the crocheted pot holder. When I go to Amazon.ca the cotton kitchen twine is in 2mm or 3mm. Which of these are the best weight for the potholders? Mary
