It was a hit with my family. Everyone including the grandkids loved it. I used a 12 oz bottle of Michelob Amber Bock (I love dark beer) and less than a teaspoon of dried basil as well as dried parsley and shredded Mexican style cheese from Sam’s Club. It was perfect with a bowl of homemade pork chili verde.

Hi Kathryn! I’m so glad you pointed that out. I need to adjust the recipe to reflect that. I use a 12 ounce can of beer, which seems to be around 350 ml. I would imagine you could add the some whole wheat flour, understanding that it may be a bit denser…but you are right, you would get more fiber! Lord knows, I can always use more fiber!

We are so looking forward to our visit this weekend, it will be nice to just get away for a bit!
