Delicious recipe! I made the cakes for an herbal tea and received many compliments. I changed the glaze to omit the vanilla (made the glaze too dark). Instead of the vanilla, I used 8 frozen blueberries to soak along with the lavender to help enhance the pale purple color. Thank you for providing this recipe. I will add it to my repertoire of desserts for gatherings.

These are incredible! Super easy to make and great flavor. Lavender can easily be too powerful, but the amount used in the glaze was perfect. I change a lot of recipes after the first time I make them, but I won’t be changing anything about these!

Yes, the tea cakes will freeze great. Wait to drizzle the lavender glaze until you are ready to serve them.

Good Morning Sheila! They are very close, but I think the muffin tins are slightly larger. You could use them, but would need to adjust the cooktime a wee bit…just keep an eye on them. I haven’t made this recipe in a mini muffin tin, so I can’t tell you for sure.

If you do give it a whirl, I’d love for you to pop back in and let me know how long you ended up cooking them.
