Simmering Fall Potpourri

The Warming  Scents of Fall

The scent of dehydrating apples dusted with cinnamon and oranges dusted with cloves is pure heaven!

Ingredients

2 apples 2 oranges Ground cinnamon Ground cloves 5 cinnamon sticks  3 Tbsp cloves 2 Tbsp allspice 3 sprigs of rosemary 10 bay leaves Vanilla bean 2 Tbsp dried ginger  2 Tbsp cardamom 

Simmering Potpourri

To simmer your potpourri, put approximately 1/2 cup into a small pot of water and heat on low, refreshing the water as it evaporates.

Gift tags:  To simmer your potpourri, put one-half cup of potpourri into a small pot with two cups of water. Heat the pot on low, refreshing the water as it evaporates.

Variation Suggestions

– Vanilla Bean – Star Anise – Cardamom pods – Dried or fresh ginger – Crushed nutmeg seeds – Sage leaves

Not only will your house smell heavenly when it is simmering, but it will also smell pretty nice when you are making it!
