Hi Carolyn...great minds!!! And how special that you now have a new generation to gift ornaments to.

Thanks so much for your kind words...I always seem to have some sort of project going on! And I so appreciate you taking the time to write in...

Have a great day my friend.

Hugs,

What a wonderful idea, especially that you donate. With the hurricane this past fall, we have so many families who lost everything. As we decorated this year, we've been donating those items that we don't use so much anymore. And I know your kids were glad to have your family's traditional decor to get them started. Would love to see pics of your 'tree' theme this year!

These are great and that santa is a cutie. When we decided to go Tiny I actually divided all my Christmas decor for the kids and got rid of what they didn't want. I only kept a few small things that came with special memories. When decorating season comes now I make everything new. I let something in nature inspire my decorating, last year it was birds this year it's trees. I didn't go overboard and it's mostly wood crafts. Then when Christmas is over I take it down and donate it. Pretty Crazy I know but it's fun.

We've done something similar with ornaments for our kids. When they were young, I made the ornaments, usually in counted cross stitch. Then they chose their own for many years, reflecting their interests, so we had karate, soccer and tons of Disney ornaments. Now, each Thanksgiving, everyone who sits at our table receives an ornament, whether they be family or friend, it's part of the tradition. This year our new granddaughter (our first grandchild!) received her first ornament, it was a very special Thanksgiving with her! I do love all of your projects here!
