1-2 cups fresh cranberries ½ cup sugar for simple syrup ½ cup water 1 cup Superfine sugar for coating or put regular granulated sugar in a food processor
In a microwave safe measure cup or container mix ½ cup of sugar and ½ cup of sugar and heat in the microwave for 2 minutes.
Carefully take out the mixture and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
Place 1 cup of granulated sugar on a plate.
Dip the cranberries in the cooled simple syrup mixture and transfer the coated cranberries to the plate of sugar.
Roll the cranberries in the sugar to coat and set the sugared cranberry aside to dry and harden. This usually takes about 5-10 minutes.
