Mostly Useful Gifts for Men
If you are stymied for a great gift idea for your dad, father figure, or other deserving guy, check out these mostly useful gifts for the men in your life.
I am largely tchotchke-averse. I prefer giving gifts with a useful purpose beyond being dust catchers. And let’s be honest, how many mugs does Dad need with a pithy or witty saying?
To that end, most of these gifts are useful. You can still drink out of a glass with a golf ball stuck in the side of it, so it still counts as useful, with just a hint of tchotchke!

*mostly* useful gifts for men
We have friends who treat us to smoked Old Fashioneds whenever we are at their home, and I am a convert. If you have a guy in your life who enjoys being a bartender, he’ll certainly enjoy this cocktail smoker kit.
Those same friends are also coffee connoisseurs, so I can see him really enjoying the Bourbon Barrel Aged Coffee Beans!
For a useful gift with a side of chuckle, the whiskey golf ball glass and the beer glass with the golf ball stuck in the side are perfect!
If pops is often fixing things with screws, washers, etc…they inevitably fall somewhere hard to reach. This magnetic pickup tool has an extendable flashlight with a magnet at the end of the flashlight to retrieve those items!
I don’t have Apple products, nor my hubby, or this Apple three-device charger would be the bomb diggity! Charge your air pods, iPhone and Apple Watch in one place!
An ice cream spoon just for Dad is very useful! Just ask Dad!
This men’s leather bracelet is cool if your guy likes a little jewelry. Add charms with the names of the special people in his world.
We are new converts to these USB Lighters! They never run out of fuel, they last for years, and we aren’t adding plastic regularly to the landfill!
We bought a Nixplay digital frame for my parents years ago, and it is still going strong. The family sends pictures directly from our phones to her frame so she can enjoy our adventures real-time and forever!
These NCAA or NFL Straw Hats with the logo and lining of Dad’s favorite team are a huge hit!
A good Columbia Hat is always a great option if he doesn’t have a favorite football team.
If your favorite guy spends any time on or near the water, a waterproof pouch for his phone is a very useful and practical gift!
If Dad’s a griller, help him up his grilling game and remove any chance of overdone or underdone burgers! This Wireless Smart Thermometer is a game-changer! And after cooking dinner, pops will need a good grill brush to clean the grill for next time.
What must I add to this list of MOSTLY useful gifts for the important and valued guys in our lives? I’m always open to ideas and suggestions.
