How to Use Sugared Cranberries
Sugared cranberries are versatile and bring a festive flair to various dishes and drinks. Here are some creative ways to use them:
- Dessert Topping: Use sugared cranberries to decorate cakes, cupcakes, cheesecakes, or tarts. They add a beautiful contrast, especially on creamy or chocolate desserts. I used them to top these Chocolate Cranberry Mini Tarts.
- Cocktail Garnish: For a festive cocktail garnish, add some sugared cranberries to a toothpick or skewer. Cranberries pair well with holiday drinks like these Spiced Pomegranate Cocktails, gin and tonics, or mulled wine.
- Charcuterie Board Accent: Include sugared cranberries on a Christmas charcuterie board for a pop of color and a sweet-tart bite that complements cheeses and nuts.
- Salad Topper: Toss them into winter salads with greens, goat cheese, pecans, and vinaigrette. Their sweetness adds a lovely contrast to savory ingredients.
- Table Decor or Edible Centerpiece: Arrange a bowl of sugared cranberries or scatter them on a holiday table for a sparkling, edible decoration.
- Homemade Gifts: Package these sugared cranberries in small jars as edible holiday gifts. They’re a unique treat that’s easy to make and share.
