Good Morning Glories!
I do hope your weekend treated you well!
Ours was wonderful, but I fell into bed at 9 last night and didn’t wake up until 5:30 this morning…which is a clear indicator that I was wiped out! It was a weekend of good friends and family…with LOTS of yummy food thrown in for good measure.
I made this Scallops Recipe on Friday night and served a spinach salad with these pickled blueberries alongside. For our appetizer, I served crackers and goat cheese topped with my last jar of this smoky, spiced tomato jam...looks like I need to get canning again.
For Saturday’s meal, I made a big pot of this Beef Shank and Sausage Ragu, which has long been a family favorite.
These bowls are fun DIY…for your kitchen or to gift.
A detailed and interesting read about caffeine.
In our new home, we moved my oyster shell mirror from our bedroom to the foyer…she gets a whole lot more attention now.
As the crow flies, we live 3 miles from the Atlantic Ocean so while it’s hard to not have beachy/coastal influences in our home, I am sensitive to overdoing it. That being said, I just ordered an enlarged image that I took on my cell phone last summer to hang in our dining room. I did ‘alter’ it a bit with an app to make it look more ‘artsy’, so I’ll keep you posted on how that works. This is the image.
Five Knitted Washcloth Patterns….
My family is in the midst of hard conversations about Alzheimer’s and the toll it takes on the caregiver. Luckily, we have some wonderful resources through our state and we are on our way to meet with them now. There are no two ways about it…this is tough stuff, but we are truly blessed with a very supportive family. I can’t even imagine what we would do if my parents didn’t live in the same town as we do. And while right now is hard, we are so thankful that my parents had 60 WONDERFUL and healthy years together and that’s what we have to remember.
So my friends,
Thanks for stopping by today.
Wishing you a Monday full of grace and light.
Hugs,
Lynn
