Monday Musings, March 23

Good Morning, Glories!

I hope you are coming off of a great weekend! Ours was quiet…ish. I spent the weekend in the kitchen working on a variety of strawberry recipes 🍓 to share with you in the near future.

Though it was unseasonably cold outside, my kitchen was in full spring mode.

I was beyond tickled to receive a wedding invitation in the mail this weekend! What used to be an ordinary occurrence has been elevated to exciting as a result of the past year. I guess, if there is a silver lining to our shared experience, it is that we will not take the ordinary for granted.

The wedding is at the end of April, we will be fully vaccinated and I am so excited to be shopping for a dress! Friends…it sure does seem that life is creeping back to normal.

Some of these links may be Amazon affiliate links and I may earn a small commission from the sale of these products to help defray the costs of operating this site, but the price you are charged is not affected. You can see my full disclosure policy here.

If, like me, you are always looking for ways to make life easier and less stressful, check out these eight tips to simplify your life.

Don’t Harriet’s Daisy Stitch Washcloths just put a smile on your face with all their bright, Spring-y colors? She also used Lily’s Sugar N Cream Cotton Yarn, which is my go-to for washcloths. I have yet to find another yarn that checks all the boxes of economical, color range, and durability for my washcloths.

And if you are planning to gift your washcloths as Harriet is doing, I have some printables you can download for washcloth wraps.

One of my ‘command centers’ in our home is in the laundry room, where I plug in my fitness tracker, earbuds, and a flashlight. The cords weren’t long enough to lay on the counter, and there are 3 things to plug into 2 outlets. This Socket Shelf is the answer to my problem. I saw that some socket shelves actually have a shelf on the top and bottom!

Cheddar Cheese Dog Treats for your best 4-legged love!

I wish you could see the smile on my face and pink in my cheeks that I actually have my very first ever peony bud! And I am coddling that little bud like a baby. We were expecting ‘some wind’ last week so I staked it and even covered it with a tall bucket. I have tucked a little compost around it and now that we have built up a nice stash of compost, I am anxious for Terry to fire up our Compost Tea Brewer so I can nurture it and the rest of my garden even more!

These Snickerdoodle Cookie Bars, which I like to call ‘the lazy girl’s Snickerdoodle Cookie’ are always a big hit!

Well beauties, my strawberries 🍓 are calling and I must go!

Wishing you a day of sunshine and peace.

Hugs,

Signature of Lynn
