Monday Musings, January 6

Well, here we are…the first full week of back to normal. And while I LOVE the holidays and all they hold, I am always ready for back-to-normal. My last little fledgling heads back to school tomorrow and so the year will begin marching on!

We did a quick ‘look back’ at your favorite posts last year. In a nutshell, it’s clear why you are my favorite people!

Are you in the midst of all your Thank-you notes? Here are some tips for writing thank-you notes plus a printable of messages to include in thank-you notes if you get stumped.

I helped my sister-in-law with some decluttering in her home a couple of months back and sharing the questions I asked her to help her decide what to keep and what needs to be discarded or donated.

Speaking of Decluttering, we start a new decluttering journey this week. If you’d like to join, pop over here. I will send the checklists directly to your mailbox weekly.

It finally feels like winter here in southeast North Carolina! This Hearty Beef Soup will be on the menu this week.

What was your favorite TV show of 2019? Can we just agree that TV has really upped its game and that there are so many great offerings out there?! My favorites, in no particular order, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Chernobyl, and Catherine the Great. Chernobyl was tough to watch, but so well done!

In general, I am not a big ‘re-reader’ of books but there are certain books that I like to touch base with every now and again. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is one of those! Such a beautifully written book. And while I’d love to say ‘what it’s about’…it is simply about a family navigating the harsh environment of the turn of the century Brooklyn. It is one of those books that, when I finish, I feel a tad lonely for having to leave the story. What books do you love to touch base with from time to time?

I am off to get some stuff done, including a new recipe, some decluttering and Terrarium Tips! I’ll be sharing all of them soon, so stay tuned.

Have a great day my friends.

Thanks for making my day by SHARING!!
