Monday Musings, September 9

Good Morning Lovelies!!!

Since we last ‘chatted’ 2 weeks ago, we drove to Charlotte to celebrate my ‘baby’ boy’s 20th birthday,  drove to Pittsburgh for the Big Fat Indian Wedding of my dear friend’s daughter and then drove home to prepare for Hurricane Dorian. Phew…there is never a dull moment in this house!

Remember me telling you about the Pittsburgh tradition of the Cookie Table at weddings? Well, I snapped a pic for you and am convinced that this tradition really needs to be replicated in every part of the world! The ‘opening’ of the cookie table was probably as anticipated as the arrival of the bride and groom! (sorry Neena and Nick!)

We had a ball attending all the wedding festivities. It was a busy, but magical weekend filled with love, good friends, good food, dance rehearsals, traditions, and gorgeous, color-filled clothing and decorations.

Well, my friends…believe it or not we are hitting the road again this morning for a quick couple days with some good friends. So, I need to wrap it up and start packing.

Wishing you a wonderful week…

  1. Lynn,
Where did your get your dress for the wedding? My niece is getting married in February and Indian dress is appropriate for us, even though it’s not our culture. I like yours and it’s not overdone and has the scarf to cover your head! Please share your ideas for where to shop! thank you

    1. Hi Sheryl,

I purchased mine from a lady in Pittsburgh. Are you close to that area? I can give you her contact info. She designs all her dresses and has them made and they are of exquisite quality. That being said, I know of several others who bought online at https://www.perniaspopupshop.com/ and I really liked theirs as well.

How exciting! I’m a tad jealous. We had such a magical weekend!

      I sure hope this helps!

      Hugs,

      Lynn
