Monday Musings, December 9
Good Morning my friends!
I am traveling home today from a lovely weekend in New York City with my mom, my daughter, my sister-in-law and my niece. The girls decided that mom/grammie needed some fun in her world since this has been a very difficult year. And NYC at Christmas time is way up there in ‘fun place’ rankings! We had some great meals, took in the play ‘Waitress, had more delicious meals, window shopped, real shopped, had more great meals, and went to the Christmas market at Bryant Square. In short…we packed it all in!
I highly recommend the girl’s trip weekends. It was delightful.
In other, soul-crushing news, we have a resolution to the Great Advent Calendar Debate and it seems that I have been endorsing the wrong Advent Calendar procedure. Your responses were predominantly unanimously in favor of the wrong way my husband has been proposing that we place our ornaments on our Advent Calendar.
Ugh…how am I going to tell the kids that I taught them wrong?
For those of you who missed it last week and are curious, EVERYONE says that you should start your advent calendar on day 1 and count up to day 25. I had been counting down, thinking that we should be showing how many days were left until Christmas. Oh well, I fought the good fight.

These Toasted Walnuts with Rosemary! I have been trying to gift them but Terry keeps eating them before I can give them to someone. Also…printable tags for the Walnuts.

In January I am going to do a special Declutter Challenge! Want to join me? I’ll be sending out weekly prompts, checklists, and tips to help us get rid of accumulated clutter and start the year with a clean slate. I don’t want to wish December away, but I am chomping at the bit to clear my home of some useless stuff. So, if you’d like to jump on the Declutter Challenge bandwagon, click this link or the image below and sign up!
Have a great and productive week my friends.
Hugs,
Harrumph – counting down to show how many days are left until Christmas is correct. 😉
