News from the Nest, September 6
Happy Labor Day to all my US friends! I hope you are able to spend the day with friends and family enjoying some good laughter and good food.
I am writing to you from Philadelphia, where we are making a pit stop in our travels. We rented an Airbnb in lovely and historic Chestnut Hill. We live in the south largely because of the weather, but staying in this walkable and character-filled little town is making me feel the pull to head back north.
And the cooler, crisper Fall air up here is certainly adding to the pull! We’ve had the windows open and the sweatshirts on…my kind of weather.
- We are having a wonderful trip, with more fun ahead. But as soon as we get home I promise I’ll be jumping in the kitchen to start some fall baking with some of the Pennsylvania apples I got at Reading Terminal Market.
